What about a Master of Ceremonies?
A Master of Ceremonies (MC) is included in our packages.
George our MC who is also our Bass Player, will conduct all your formalities and facilitate the night, by liaising with the Function Manager, Staff and the Strofes Band to ensure your night runs smoothly and according to plan. This means you can relax and enjoy your night, your in good hands.

Does Strofes perform for only an hour?
No doubt about it, music can make or break an event and remember, it's the thing people most often remember. A survey that had been conducted on couples that just got married, 85% of all couples that choose a DJ to entertain at their wedding, said if they had it to do over again would have hired a band.
Because:
Bands are visually exciting to watch, create atmosphere and really know how to get the crowd moving, you can't just beat live action.
You can feel the emotion of the vocalist, you can see it in his or her face, you can hear it in their voices.
A live band will make your guests take notice and really get your guests in the mood for dancing.
Sure bands are bit more expensive, but you can't put a price on memories, they are priceless, alot of people regret the decision of settling for a cheaper alternative, as entertainment is the most crucial element in an event.
Your special day is a once in a lifetime event. If you ask people what is the thing that they remember the most about a function, besides the beautiful bride and handsome groom, they always say the entertainment then the food.
We conduct a Showcase Night of our Band every fortnight usually on a Thursday Night.
These Showcases are limited to only 2 - 4 couples per session, as this allows us to be able to provide quality service and a more comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for our guests. Once the performance has finished, the band manager is able to answer any questions you my have.

Do we have to provide meals and beverages for the band?
We realize that extra costs effect the budget of your wedding, we leave this entirely up to you and your budget.
How many breaks does the band take?
Strofes band takes minimal breaks.
Our first break is taken just after our first set during entree & the last one when the main meals are being served. Our breaks are taken during the events down time, which ensures you get more entertainment value out of the band, which means more dancing and fun for you and your guests.
Does Strofes peform outside of Melbourne?
Yes we certainly do, we do this quite regularly, as a matter of fact 30-40% of our work is
outside of Melbourne.
